All arrangements have been concluded for the hosting of 2025 annual Plywood Reunion.
The event with the theme: “The integration of Indigenous Association Into the South West Development Commission Agenda; Indigenous Alumni Association Perspectives” would hold on Saturday, December 27, 2025.
According to a statement by the National President, Ibadan Polywood Connect Association, Asiwaju Olabrewaju Ganiyyu, the 2025 Reunion Fiesta would hold at the Western House of Chiefs, Secretariat, Ibadan, Oyo State by 10am.


A member of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Prince Akeem Adeniyi Adeyemi (Skimmeh) Chairman, House of Representatives Committee on Southwest Development Commission is the Guest Lecturer while the Alaafin of Oyo, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Abimbola Akeem Owoade 1 would be the Father of the Day.
The Guest of Honour is the Executive Chairman of Egbeda Local Government Area of Oyo State, Hon. Sanda Sikiru Oyedele, who is also the Chairman, Association of Local Government of Nigeria, ALGON Oyo State Chapter.
Highlights of the event would include paper presentation on Cooperative Investment, Health Talk and Insurance, Awards ceremony for distinguished individuals in the society and Table of honour.
Ibadan Polywood Connect Association is a strong branch of The Polytechnic Ibadan Alumni Group which is spiritedly formed to support and promote the good name of The Polytechnic Ibadan.
The Poly Ibadan as fondly called is not just a name but a global academic brand which has built for itself a golden name in the comity of Nigeria Polytechnics. It is indeed our pride because we are the best hands all over the world. For without Polytechnic Ibadan graduate, nothing happens in such an establishment. According to Asiwaju Olanrewaju Ganniu, the coordinating president, Ibadan Polywood Connect Association, this year edition of Polywood Fiesta 2025 presents to us a shared vision to redesign our approach to sustain the group vision with a clear view to advance our strategy in promoting the good name of The Polytechnic Ibadan as a citadel of technological innovations and academic excellence where best hands are being trained and certificated to rule the world in our own style.This is in line with our annual social engagement to bring together all graduates of The Polytechnic Ibadan across the world to come together in common principle to celebrate our achievements and to rebuild our wall of friendship with our Alma Mater. Ibadan Polywood Assembly is the upper arm of the association where we have two leagues: PREMIER and LEGEND.
The premier class is peculiar name to every registered member of the group who supports the dreams to define the future from today through participation in every aspect of Polywood promotional strategies and to assist members who are in dire needs. We now have the premiers of the premier Polytechnic Ibadan as a frontline member of Ibadan Polywood Connect Association.
Legend class belongs to those who have contributed significantly to the growth and development of the group with a view to give back to the Alma Mater in one way or the other.These are the bigwoods of the group who are ready to raise the banner in the glorious name of The Polytechnic Ibadan through Polywood engagement in all fronts.
Congratulations to all the legends who have shown interest in this year edition because they have been identified as our strength for the magical transformation of our collective dreams.
At the instance of this year edition, we are setting the table to discuss the relevant topic of capacity building and planning towards group insurance to help us in advancing for common wealth.
While wishing you all Polywood glorious assembly this year, we pray God to keep our feet and direct our steps forward for global relevance as we crave for the best always in the name of The Polytechnic Ibadan Alumni group.
