‎Cheetahs of Benin Republic Captain, Steve Mounié, has declared that they are motivated to beat Nigeria in their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying fixture.

‎Mounié declared that they would work hard to secure maximum points from the game.

‎‘I don’t think I need to motivate my teammates that much. We all know what we are playing for tomorrow which is bigger than every individual’, the forward told a press conference.

‎‘Everyone knows what we have to do tomorrow to get qualification. I don’t need to tell my teammates much. We will give our best on the pitch’.

‎The Cheetahs top the Group C standings with 17 points from nine matches.

‎They are seeking to make their maiden appearance at the World Cup.
