Billionaire businessman, Elon Musk, has called for the resignation of the Director of the United States Secret Service, Kimberly Cheatle, following the assassination attempt on former president and Republican Party candidate, Donald Trump.
DECENCY GLOBAL NEWS reports that two people died after gunshots were fired at Trump’s rally in Pennsylvania on Saturday – with the injured former president rushed off stage by security staff, according to the Associated Press.
Despite the Secret Service neutralising the shooter, Musk demanded the resignation of the head of the service and the leader of Trump’s security detail.
He made the call while reacting to a BBC report of an eyewitness claiming he informed police and Secret Service about a suspicious man on a roof with a rifle but was ignored.
Musk wrote, “The head of the Secret Service and the leader of this security detail should resign.”
Meanwhile, DECENCY GLOBAL NEWS earlier reported that Elon Musk has endorsed Donald Trump for the upcoming presidential election following the attack at his Pennsylvania rally.
Musk declared his “full” support for Trump while wishing him quick recovery.
