Take Good Care Of Your Health Avoid Untimely Death, Community Health Worker Tasks Men

***Methodist Men’s Fellowship Northern Zone Ends 2024 Convention

A Registered Community Health worker, Isaac Ogbaji has tasked Nigerians especially men to take good care of their health, avoid unnecessary stress and other acts that can lead to untimely death.

He gave the charge while delivering a health talk on “Stress Management” during the just concluded Methodist Men’s Fellowship Northern Regional convention held at Bishop Okwoche Memorial Cathedral, Anyuwogbu, Ibila in Oju Local Government Area of Benue State.

He noted that stress affects everybody, everyday and everywhere, noting that it has no racial, social, religious, cultural or age segregation.

Ogbaji identified nine causes of stress which included lack of control of uncertainty, unrealistic expectations, financial issues like joblessness, huge bills, among others.

He also pointed out ways of managing stress which included exercise regularly, mindfulness and relaxation, leisure activities and seeking of professional help among others.

The Archbishop of Igede Archdiocese, Most Rev Dr. Michael Icha Testimony Simeon JP had in a service to declare the Convention open, tasked men to always be result oriented.

In a sermon titled: “Arise Oh Men and Build to Completion” reminded men that God is interested in those doing His will.

Archbishop Simeon called for consistency in serving the Lord and advocated for keeping to Methodist heritage of scriptural holiness and regular study of the Bible through class meetings.

The Regional President of the Fellowship, Sir Mark O. Ndukwe encouraged men to show more interest and participate in Evangelism, Bible study and other means of grace.

He thanked the leadership of all the Dioceses and Archdioceses in the region for keeping the flag flying and appreciated the Chairman of the organizing Committee of the Convention for a job well-done.

The Executive of the zone led by Sir Ndukwe was re-elected for another term of three years with injection of few new officers including Chief Emmanuel Adikpe, OOW as Zonal Treasurer and Bro Abraham Otene from Kaduna Archdiocese as Financial Secretary.
