The Department of State Services, (DSS), has released Joe Ajaero, the President of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), after detaining him at Abuja airport.
The Labour leader was released on bail at about 11pm on Monday but his international passport was seized.
Ajaero was on his way to a Trade Union Congress (TUC) event in the UK when he was arrested at about 7am on Monday.
According to Ajaero in an interview with Guardian, he was questioned over alleged terrorism financing involving a British national, Andrew Wynne.
He added that the police officers also grilled him over the #EndBadGovernance nationwide protests that took place in August.
The police have also summoned Ajaero and NLC’s Secretary-General, Emmanuel Ugboaja, for further questioning later in the month.
