Actress Tonto Dikeh has offered words of encouragement to a fellow single mother who is at a crossroad.
In a private message, the single mother sought Tonto’s advice on coping with her ex’s departure, which Tonto responded by correcting her narrative.
According to Dikeh, she was the one who left the marriage for her and her son’s sake, calling it the “best decision” she ever made.
Tonto emphasised the importance of growth, self-investment, and prioritising children’s well-being while seeking guidance from God.
She also noted that sometimes, the end of a marriage can be the beginning of new blessings.
“Good morning, first and foremost, I was the one who chose to walk away from my marriage, not the other way around. I needed to escape a difficult situation, not just got my own sake, but for my child as well. Best decision I ever made.
“Remember, you have the power to become the person you aspire to be, as long as you commit to your growth and invest in yourself. Prioritize the well-being of your children while seeking guidance and strength from God. Sometimes the end of the road is the beginning of your blessings, but please, if your marriage is worth it, fight for your home.

Sharing the exchange on Instagram, Tonto addressed single mothers, acknowledging she has no manual for navigating these challenges but relies on love and God’s strength.
“Dear single mothers, I don’t have a manual for these things. I am neither a pro in this movement.
My biggest teacher has been LOVE. I just let God do his thing, and his thing is enough for me. Draw strength from God, most especially keep your family matters private”.
