A 43-year-old man, simply identified as Morufu, has called out his wife, Mariam for allegedly getting pregnant by another man.
Morufu explained that he used to travel to Lagos and other cities to sell indigenous caps and that while struggling to fend for his family, his wife had been cheating on him with her former lover.
The resident of Ibadan, capital of Oyo State said he was yet to send her packing because he was confused on what to do and then brought the issue to a radio programme for Nigerians to advise him on the situation.
The man disclosed that his wife was the one that confessed that her two month old pregnancy does not belong to him, expressing doubts about the paternity of their two children.
“I am confused and sad at the same time because my wife is pregnant with her ex-boyfriend. I have been struggling to ensure that I feed my family and cater for their needs. I don’t know why my wife has to cheat on me to the point of getting pregnant for another man.
“I must confess that I doubt if I am the biological father of my other two children. She is still at my place and I am still thinking of what to do. I am shattered,” Morufu lamented.
Admitting that her husband is not the owner of latest pregnancy, Mariam, aged 36, blamed Morufu for her action.
Mariam explained that she called her former boyfriend on the telephone after her husband refused to have sexual intercourse with her for about 10 months.
She said all her efforts to make her husband perform his conjugal obligation were abortive, adding that there were times when she had to dress seductively to get her husband’s attention whenever he was around but would turn blind eyes to her.
According to the native of Olunloyo’s compound in Ibadan, Morufu did not have sexual intercourse with her from November last year till September this year.
“I have been patient enough. I have done all I can just to get my husband’s attention including wearing seductive clothes but my husband did not even notice me. He would travel for weeks and whenever he comes back, he complains of tiredness.
“I got tired in August this year and I phoned my former boyfriend for us to meet. We met in a hotel, made love and I discovered I was pregnant for him afterwards. I had to confess to my husband because he is not the owner of the pregnancy. I have tried to convince him but to no avail. I even complained to some of his family members,” the mother of two said, denying the allegation that Morufu is not the biological father of their two children.
