St. Barnabas Anglican Church, located on #1 Anglican Street, Byazhin, Kubwa, Abuja on Sunday rolled out drums as they celebrated 2024 Christmas Carol with fun fare.
The Church’s Vicar, Venerable Dr Sam Akale, who titled his message as “Who is an Ambassador, urged Christians to live Godly and Bible centered lives so as to influence the society for good and end the plaque of corruption in Nigeria.
He charged believers to serve the Lord with a new heart without corruption.
Quoting from 2 Corinthians Chapter 5 vs 14 to 19, said as ambassadors of Jesus Christ on the earth, they must surrender their totality to Him so that He would be their Saviour.
The cleric called on Christians to always seek peace with all men and embrace the ministry of reconciliation.
The Church choir was at her best as the carol van be likened to a musical fiesta.
St Barnabas Anglican Church, Byazhin Kubwa 2024 Christmas Carol was rounded off with a get together night where members of the Church with their families and friends were treated to sumptuous meals to conclude the church activities for the year.
The Church appreciated some deserving members for outstanding performance in the outgoing year.
They included Chief & Chief Mrs Chris Obikelu who were honoured as the Best Couple of the year while Master Chinedu Emmanuel was recognized as the most outstanding child of the year for effective participation in the Anglican Communion Children Ministry in 2024.
Most outstanding Youths Award went to Bro Oluwaseun Oyodo; Mrs Maria Madu for her diligence and punctuality in church activities while the award of Best Bible study attendance went to Bro Bola Ajasa.
The Vicar, Venerable Dr. Akale tasked all the awardees to continue in their steadfastness until they won the heavenly crown urging all members to always strive for excellence as the church leadership would always reward outstanding performances.
Highlights of the ceremony were playlets, Jokes, Games and family Quiz.
