The estranged wife of Ooni of Ife, Naomi Ogunwusi, alongside principal of Islamic High School, Bashorun, Ibadan, Mr. Abdullah Fasasi and ace broadcaster, Alhaji Oriyomi Hamzat are to celebrate Christmas and New Year festivities in Prison as they have been remanded at the Nigeria correctional centre, Agodi, Oyo.
DECENCY GLOBAL NEWS learnt that the Chief magistrate sitting in Iyaganku, Bisi Ogunkanmi remanded the three defendants on four count bordering on conspiracy and murder in connection with the children funfair stampede in Ibadan on Wednesday
The three defendants pleaded not guilty to the charges.
This was in connection to her botched food relief programme which led to the deaths of 35 children in Ibadan, the state capital, on December 18.
Meanwhile, the case has been adjourned till the 14th of January 2025.
Some supporters and fans of Hamzat also stormed the court premises amidst heavy security provided by the police.
