…..Beware of Impostors – Verify Legitimacy Before Partnering with NAPPS Representatives
The National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools, (NAPPS), has urged the public to be cautious in entering into any business or partnership with any faction of NAPPS in Lagos State other than the authentic executive of the group led by Dr. Bodunde Samuel.
This clarification came to the fore over the recent alleged $1bn memorandum of understanding claimed to be signed with Digital Learning Network Inc. by an illegal group posing as NAPPS Lagos State representatives.
According to a statement signed by the South West Vice President of NAPPS, Pastor Prof. Durodola O.A, the association is perturbed by the activities of a group of imposters who allegedly signed an MoU on behalf of the body, hence the need to alert the public of their nefarious and dubious activities.
He said, “As a concerned leader and elder in NAPPS, I urge you to exercise caution and verify the legitimacy of any individual or group claiming to represent NAPPS Lagos State Chapter.”
The statement clarified that should any group, organization or individual want to do business with NAPPS in Lagos, official channel should be explored.
“To protect yourself and your organization, verify the authenticity of any NAPPS representative through official channels:
- Website: www.napps.com.ng
- Email: nappsedu@gmail.com
- Phone Numbers: 08036323066, 0803305357, 0803 525 3353
- Official Lagos NAPPS Account Details:
- Account Name: NAPPS LAGOS CHAPTER
- Bank: UBA
- Account Number: 1027792668
- State Chairman: Dr. Bodunde Samuel (0803 525 3353)”.
The statement stated unequivocally that Mr. Alaka Yusuf, the suspended president, and his team are not authorized to act on behalf of NAPPS.
It recalled that “the suspended group’s actions are a clear indication of their illegitimacy. Their rise to power was marred by irregularities, including:
- Electoral Irregularities: Jettisoning electoral guidelines, employing military personnel to harass voters, numbering ballot papers to control voting patterns, and disenfranchising entire local governments.
- False Promises: Deceiving innocent members with unfulfilled grants from the Bank of Industry and overpriced seminars for information available for free.”
Digging deep, the National body of NAPPS also published the suspension letter of Alaka Yusuf and his illegal executive for the public to see.
