Sunday Sermon: Reward For Doing Exploit By Venerable Dr Samuel Akale

Text: Daniel 11:32 says: “But the people who know their God shall be strong, and carry out great exploits.”

Daniel 11:32 and 1 Corinthians 15:58 powerfully speak to the theme of taking charge of our lives and doing exploits in Jesus’ name, Amen

This verse highlights that true strength comes from knowing God intimately. It’s through this knowledge and relationship with Him that we are empowered to carry out “great exploits” – acts of courage, purpose, and impact in every area of life.

To take charge, we must cultivate a deep relationship with God through prayer, study of His Word, and living according to His will. The greater our intimacy with Him, the more effective and fruitful our lives will be.

Taking charge of our lives and doing exploits in all areas is deeply rooted in faith and aligning our actions with God’s purpose. Jesus, through His teachings and example, empowers us to live victoriously and boldly in every sphere, whether in our careers, relationships, or personal growth. To do exploits, we need to embrace His wisdom, trust in His power, and be diligent in applying His Word in every circumstance.

Scriptures like John 14:12 encourages us to do greater works in His name, while Philippians 4:13 reminds us that we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us.

By focusing on Him, living by His principles, and being obedient, we can step into the fullness of what God has called us to achieve.

1 Corinthians 15:58 says: “Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.”

This verse calls us to stay steadfast and unwavering in our pursuit of God’s will, especially when we are stepping into areas where we want to see exploits.

Our efforts, no matter how challenging, are not in vain if done in Christ. Taking charge of our lives in a way that honours God involves relentless persistence, knowing that our actions matter in the grand scheme of His Kingdom. It also assures us that our work will bear fruit in due season.

Taking Charge and Doing Exploits in Jesus’ Name: – Points to note

  1. Know Your God (Daniel 11:32)– To do exploits, we must first build a strong relationship with God. This comes through prayer, worship, reading the Bible, and surrendering ourselves to His will.
  2. Be Steadfast and Immovable (1 Cor. 15:58)– We should stand firm in our faith and always be abounding in good works. Taking charge of our lives means we do not get discouraged by challenges but remain focused on our purpose in Christ.
  3. Walk in His Power– True exploits come from the empowerment of the Holy Spirit. It is not by our own might or strength, but by the Spirit of God that we can accomplish anything great (Zechariah 4:6).
  4. In Every Area of Life– Taking charge is not limited to one aspect, but encompasses every area: our family life, careers, ministries, and personal growth. God has designed us for excellence and victory in all.

When you live with a sense of purpose and divine strength, recognizing that your efforts are eternally significant, you’ll see more than just personal success you’ll see lives transformed, circumstances changed, and God’s Kingdom expanded.
