‎NCMM DG Inaugurates ACTU, Tasks Committee Members On Honesty, Prompt Delivery

‎The Director General of the National Commission for Museum and Monuments, NCMM, Mr Olugbile Holloway, on Tuesday inaugurated the Anti-Corruption and Transparency Unit, (ACTU), NCMM Chapter with a charge to the chairperson and members of the Committee to be prompt and honest in carrying out their duties.

‎Mr Holloway reminded them that all eyes are on them to deliver on the mandates of the ACTU.

‎The Committee is chaired by a Deputy Director in the Commission, Mrs. Chioma Achodo.

‎Other members of the Committee are  Ikekwem L. Ahunna, Gift Gbadume Esq, Bajo-Femi Isaak, Odili E. Gladys, Imahiyereobo A. Esther, and Odoemenem Tony serves as Secretary.

In her post inauguration address, Mrs Chioma Achodo, assured the Director General and the Commission that her Committee  would not fail them in service delivery.

She then solicited for the support and co-operation of the management and members of staff of the Commission.

A barrister and solicitor of the Supreme Court had earlier administered on oath on the Committee members.

The Anti-Corruption and Transparency Unit (ACTU) is a unit established within Nigerian Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) to combat corruption and promote transparency.

It serves as a monitoring mechanism and acts as a link between MDAs and the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission, (ICPC).

ACTUs are responsible for preventing and prohibiting corruption in the public service, implementing the ICPC’s mandate, and promoting accountability and transparency within their respective organizations.
