‎Nigeria Mourn As Super Eagles Legend, Peter Rufai, Dies At 61

‎Former Super Eagles goalkeeper Peter Rufai has been reported dead.

‎DECENCY GLOBAL NEWS gathered that the legend goalkeeper, Rufai passed away on Thursday morning after a long illness.

‎The illness kept him away from the public in recent months.

‎Though his family has yet to officially announce his passing, a senior official in the Lagos State Government has confirmed the sad news.

‎The 61-year-old is widely regarded as one of the best goalkeepers Nigeria has ever produced.

‎He made 65 appearances for the Super Eagles, proudly representing the country in two FIFA World Cups (1994 and 1998) and playing a crucial role in Nigeria’s historic victory at the 1994 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Tunisia.
