‎Man Proposes, God Disposed – Revealed! How Olubadan Asked President Tinubu To Join Him For Coronation Anniversary On Saturday July 12

‎Prior to his demise on Monday morning, the late Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Owolabi Olakulehin, had reportedly wrote a letter to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, inviting him for his one-year anniversary on the anniversary and 90th birthday celebration.

‎DECENCY GLOBAL NEWS had earlier reported the passing of the Ibadan monarch barely a year after his ascension to the throne.

‎The late monarch who clocked 90 on Saturday was coronated by the state governor, Seyi Makinde, on the 12th of July 2024.

‎As disclosed in a post shared on Facebook by the Senior Special to the President on Media and Publicity, Temitope Ajayi, Oba Olakulehin had invited Tinubu for the 90th birthday celebration and one-year anniversary.

‎Ajayi however claimed that former Oyo state governor, Sen. Rashidi Ladoja will succeed the late Olubadan.

‎“Just last week, the late Olubadan wrote a letter to President Tinubu, intimating him about his 90th birthday and 1 year anniversary on the throne.

‎“The late monarch shared his plans to celebrate the grand old age alongside his coronation anniversary, inviting the president to come and celebrate with him.

‎“The king has joined the ancestors, and all of those grand plans for celebration will never materialise again. In a twist of fate, the celebration will now go to the inheritor of the throne.

‎“Like Emir of Kano, Lamido Sanusi, a former bank Chief Executive and Governor of Central Bank, who said his ultimate life ambition was to become the Emir, the next person in line to Olubadan throne, Senator Rashidi Ladoja, himself an accomplished businessman, 3rd republic Senator and former Governor of Oyo State, also said his ultimate goal in life is to become Olubadan.

‎“Fate has finally thrusted the throne to him. May his reign be peaceful, and may Ibadan continue to prosper during his reign.”
