Controversial Anambra-based pastor, Prophet Odumeje, has shed light on why he chooses not to collect tithes from members of his church, making it clear that his mission is spiritual, not financial.
In a video clip from a recent church service, which was posted on TikTok on Tuesday, the flamboyant preacher stated that his purpose in ministry is to reveal the reality of Christ—not to profit from worshippers.
“Look at a young fresh man like me. I’ll come here and be deceiving people? I no dey do church for money. Nobody pays me tithe. I am doing church to prove to you that Christ is real. That is my mission,” he declared
Odumeje also mentioned the late Prophet T.B. Joshua, hinting that he hopes to exit the world in a similar fashion once his spiritual work is complete.
“When I finish my job I left the same way Prophet Emmanuel T.B. Joshua left…” he added.
