‎Sunday Sermon: God’s Ability To Save By Pastor Prof. Durodola O.A of Kingdom Minded Church

‎Text: Daniel 6:1–28

‎Case Study: Daniel in the Lion’s Den

‎🔰 INTRODUCTION

‎Life will not always be fair. Trials, traps, and tribulations will come. At some point, you may find yourself in situations where humans help fails and your only lifeline is divine intervention. It is in such times that this timeless question arises:

‎> “O Daniel, servant of the living God, is thy God, whom thou servest continually, able to deliver thee from the lions?” (Daniel 6:20 KJV)

‎The answer was not delayed. It came loud and clear:

‎> “My God hath sent His angel, and hath shut the lions’ mouths…” (Daniel 6:22)

‎Yes, God is able to save. But this divine rescue was no coincidence. Daniel lived in a way that provoked heaven’s response. His story is not just about surviving lions—it’s about walking with God so closely that even death must respect your covenant.

‎Let’s uncover five powerful secrets from Daniel’s life that positioned him for supernatural preservation.

‎1. A LIFE OF UNSHAKABLE FAITH

‎Daniel’s faith in God was not seasonal or convenient. It was consistent, firm, and visible—even when it became illegal to believe.

‎> “The people that do know their God shall be strong and do exploits.” (Daniel 11:32b)

‎“By faith… stopped the mouths of lions.” (Hebrews 11:33)

‎🔑 Kingdom Lesson: When your faith doesn’t shake in crisis, heaven responds with deliverance.

‎2. A LIFE OF CONSISTENT PRAYER

‎When others were bowing to fear, Daniel was bowing in prayer. He didn’t pray because it was trendy. He prayed because it was his lifestyle.

‎> “He kneeled upon his knees three times a day and prayed… as he did aforetime.” (Daniel 6:10)

‎🔑 Kingdom Lesson: Prayer builds spiritual immunity. A prayerful man is never stranded in crisis.

‎3. A LIFE OF INTEGRITY AND EXCELLENCE

‎Even his enemies testified: “We can find no fault in him!” Daniel carried a spirit of excellence, and his integrity made him untouchable.

‎> “This Daniel was preferred… because an excellent spirit was in him.” (Daniel 6:3)

‎“They could find none occasion nor fault…” (Daniel 6:4)

‎🔑 Kingdom Lesson: Integrity is a defence. Excellence is a magnet for divine favour.

‎4. A LIFE OF BOLD CONVICTION

‎Daniel didn’t hide his faith. He didn’t dilute his beliefs to be accepted. He stood alone—and God stood with him.

‎> “Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself…” (Daniel 1:8)

‎“In every dominion of my kingdom, men tremble and fear before the God of Daniel.” (Daniel 6:26)

‎🔑 Kingdom Lesson: If you stand for God without fear, He will stand for you without fail.

‎5. A LIFE OF PURPOSE AND ASSIGNMENT

‎Daniel knew he was on assignment in Babylon. His life wasn’t lived for comfort—it was lived for God’s kingdom.

‎> “Daniel continued even unto the first year of King Cyrus.” (Daniel 1:21)

‎“Before I formed thee… I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.” (Jeremiah 1:5)

‎🔑 Kingdom Lesson: When you walk in purpose, God ensures you fulfil it—no matter the opposition.

‎🛐 CONCLUSION: IS YOUR GOD ABLE?

‎Yes, He is! But your answer will not only come by confession—it must come by consecration. The life Daniel lived before the den determined the victory, he experienced in the den.

‎Your God can still shut lion’s mouths—whether those lions are spiritual, financial, emotional, or political.

‎Let your life provoke heaven. Let your walk attract angels. Let your commitment to God make hell tremble.

‎> “My God hath sent His angel, and hath shut the lions’ mouths…” (Daniel 6:22)
