Head of Civil Service Christian Fellowship Holds Men’s Day Celebration As Dr Kalba Tasks Men On Responsibilities

Nigerians especially fathers have been urged to rise up to their responsibilities in the family so as to raise a good home that would have ripple effects on the society and the country at large.

The Permanent Secretary, Common Services Office (CSO), Office of the Civil Service of the Federation, Dr. Danjuma Usman Kalba, gave the advise in a sermon during a service of Thanksgiving to mark the 2025 Men’s Day celebration organized by the Head of Civil Service Federation Christian Fellowship.

Ministering on the theme of Men’s Day Celebration “Responsible fathers”, the Guest Preacher, Dr Kalba noted that “Responsible fathers provide leadership over their families,  mentor others, and build their communities” noting that “a home without responsible father is like a ship without captain.”

He tasked members of the congregation of the gathering of fathers who are majorly Federal civil servants to rise as responsible fathers, protect, teach and provide leadership of their families with the fear of God.

Dr Kalba itemized the qualities that responsible fathers must possess which included the fear of God, one that protects his family and make sacrifices for his children daily by providing emotional strength, teaching and discipline.

‎Highlights of the service were special prayer session for men as head of their families, the family and the presentation of a new pulpit to the Fellowship by men.
