Gov. Otti Commits To Transforming Abia

‎Abia State governor, Alex Otti has said he is committed to transforming the state in all ramifications.

‎Otti stated this in Aba while speaking on the occasion of a Security Workshop and Training for Container Unloaders Unions in Aba, with the theme, “Partnership Between Government and Frontline Unloaders – Threat, Communication and Information Management”.

‎He highlighted his commitment to include construction and reconstruction of roads, schools, other infrastructure and security advancement, amongst all.

‎Represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Kenneth Kalu, Otti said, “tremendous work is going on in Aba. I am committed to transforming Aba by rebuilding roads, and other infrastructure”.

‎According to him, the workshop is another way to ensure sound economic activities in the area and the entire state, stating, “The roads are there and it will be a mistake for people to block the roads and insecurity will be prevailing. I am thinking much about Aba in particular and Abia in general”.

‎Otti. who said success comes when there is quality network of security adding that all has a role to play and urged all to see themselves as partners in progress.

‎Earlier in his speech, the President of Association of International Traders, Prince Edmond Igwe lamented that before now there was no road

‎According  to him,”we have suffered heavily on the past over bad road. Before now, there was no road for our contractors to come in. Sometimes we stayed two weeks on the road and many fell on each other. But when we see the magnitude of what he has done, we decided to adopt him.

‎“In terms of security, our roads are no more being broken at will and containers don’t fall again as they used to fall. So we are happy with this government.The government is very good to us. And we say thank you to him.

‎In 2027, we have chosen him. He will be there. The government cannot be changed to any other person.

‎In their separate speeches, the President of the Container Offloaders Labour Union,  Nwebo Efaniflivesta, the chairman, New Life Container Unloaders, Francis Azubike, and the Chairman of Good Hope International Company, Gabriel Ogala, said the essence of this workshop was to improve the security of Abia State.

‎Azubike said ‘’So, under his present administration, this is the first timemthat the government of Abia State has decided to look into the areas of where local activities are taking place to harness and harmonize and to ensure that security will improve in those areas”.
