Bible Passage: Genesis 8: 1 – 6
Text: Genesis 8:1 — “And God remembered Noah, and every living thing, and all the cattle that was with him in the ark: and God made a wind to pass over the earth, and the waters assuaged.”
INTRODUCTION
The year 2025 is rounding up and most people are talking about unmet dreams, unanswered prayers, unfulfilled ambitions and so on, some even asked is God not aware of my needs and all these my heart desires? Yes God is aware and he never forgets anyone. God, He never forgets. (Isaiah 49:15–16). To be remembered is for God to focus His attentions on you, It means God chooses to act on your behalf, to fulfill His promise, to bring your waiting season to an end, and to lift you into a new level of grace.
To say “Remember me, O Lord” is to cry for divine attention.
When God remembers a person, everything begins to work for their good. When heaven remembers a man, stagnation ends, doors open, and destiny begins to speak again.
Message
What Does It Mean for God to Remember You?
To be remembered means: God decides to intervene in your situation. Heaven releases answers to long-standing prayers.
God brings you into divine favour before men. Forgotten dreams and promises come alive again. Delays are broken, and destiny takes a new turn. Psalm 106:4 — “Remember me, O Lord, with the favour that thou bearest unto thy people…”
Examples of People God Remembered
1. Noah (Genesis 8:1):
After the flood, God remembered Noah and made the waters to recede. Every storm has an expiry date when God remembers you.
2. Hannah (1 Samuel 1:19):
After years of barrenness, God remembered her and she conceived Samuel. Your delay is not denial; when God remembers you, your mockers are silenced.
3. Joseph (Genesis 41:14):
God made Pharaoh remember Joseph through a dream. When it’s your season of remembrance, no prison can hold you down.
4. The Thief on the Cross (Luke 23:42):
Even at the point of death, he said, “Lord, remember me,” and received mercy.
It’s never too late to cry, “Remember me, O Lord.”
When God Remembers You, Closed doors open (Revelation 3:8)
Favours locate you unexpectedly (Psalm 102:13)
Your enemies are silenced (Exodus 14:13–14)
Your story changes (1 Samuel 2:1–5)
Forgotten promises are fulfilled (Habakkuk 2:3)
Your health is restored (Jeremiah 30:17)
Your years of waste are restored (Joel 2:25)
How to Position Yourself for Divine Remembrance
1. Live in obedience – God remembered Noah because he walked faithfully (Genesis 6:9).
2. Pray persistently – Hannah prayed until something happened.
3. Serve faithfully – Nehemiah cried, “Remember me for the good I have done.”
4. Give sacrificially – Cornelius’ giving came up as a memorial before God (Acts 10:4).
5. Stay righteous – The thief found mercy because he acknowledged his sin. As 2025 is running to an end I pray the almighty God will remember you for good and restore all the lost glory, Amen.
Long-time promises will manifest. Your name will be mentioned in places of favour. The flood of pain will dry up. The book of remembrance will be opened for your sake (Esther 6:1–3).
Prayers
Lord, remember me today!
Remember my prayers, my labour, my sacrifices, and my tears. Remember my family, my destiny, and my nation. Arise in Your mercy and turn my story around. Let my name be mentioned in the place of favour. O Lord, remember me for good — in Jesus’ name, Amen!
Arise, O Lord, and remember me for good — in Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.
