The Taifa Stars are drawn in a tough group with two former champions, Nigeria and Tunisia as well as regional rivals Uganda.
The East Africans will open their campaign against the Super Eagles in Fès on Tuesday night.
Samatta reckoned that they are in a difficult group but insisted they are ready for battle.
“Many football fans say we are in a very tough group, and that is true,” Samatta told the Citizen.
“We know what this tournament means to the nation, and we want to give our best in every matches.
“If you want to achieve something meaningful in Africa, you must be ready to face strong teams. There are no easy matches at this level. Our training sessions in Rabat have been very good, morale in the camp is high, and every player understands the responsibility that comes with wearing the national team jersey.”
