Gunmen who have abducted the chairman of the Lagos State chapter of the People’s Democratic Party, (PDP), Philip Aivoji, and some other party chieftains have called for ransom.
They were said to have been abducted at the Ogere area of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway on Thursday.
Philip was reportedly kidnapped alongside other party members who were with him while returning from the party’s Stakeholders’ Zonal Caucus Meeting convened by Oyo State Govenor, Seyi Makinde, and held in Ibadan, the state’s capital.

A party member who craved anonymity disclosed that the abductors are demanding N200 million for the release of the party leaders.
According to a source, abductors have demanded N200 million in ransom to free Philip Aivoji, the chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chapter in Lagos State.
It would be recalled that on Thursday, January 25, gunmen kidnapped Aivoji and a few other party leaders.
It was said that they were kidnapped at the Ogere section of the Lagos-Ibadan expressway.
While returning from the party’s stakeholders’ zonal caucus meeting in Ibadan, the state capital of Oyo state, Aivoji and other party members were abducted.
