BREAKING: Supreme Court Voids PDP Ibadan Convention, Nullifies Turaki-led Exco

‎The Supreme Court on Thursday nullified the national convention of the Peoples Democratic Party held in Ibadan, Oyo State, in November 2025.

‎The apex court, in a decisive ruling, set aside the outcome of the convention conducted on November 15 and 16, which produced a factional National Executive Committee led by Tanimu Turaki (SAN).

‎With the judgment, the court effectively invalidated all decisions and structures that emerged from the disputed convention, dealing a major setback to the Turaki-led faction.

‎The ruling is expected to have far-reaching implications for the internal leadership crisis within the opposition party, as it reopens questions surrounding the legitimacy of parallel party structures.

‎Details of the judgment were still being awaited as of the time of filing this report.
