BREAKING! Police Arrest Abuja Kidnapper Who Killed Nabeeha, Recover His Share Of Ransom

Men of the Nigeria Police Force have recorded another success in their war against insecurity in the country and have arrested a notorious kidnapper identified as Bello Mohammed, 28, who confessed to killing Nabeeha, the young lady who was abducted alongside five of her sisters in Bwari, Abuja on January 2.

Police reports say he was arrested on 20th January 2024 during a raid on a hotel in Tafa Area, Kaduna, where he lodged.

A statement released by the spokesperson of the Nigeria Police Force, Muyiwa Adejobi, says the sum of N2.25m (Two Million, two hundred and fifty thousand naira) suspected to be proceeds of the ransom he collected from the kidnap incident was recovered from him.

Adejobi stated that the suspect, during interrogation, confessed to his crimes, saying he is part of the gang that kidnapped the family members of one Barrister Ariyo in Bwari, FCT, on 2nd January 2024, and killed some kidnapped victims, including Nabeeha, daughter of the legal practitioner, on 13th January, 2024.

At the scene of his arrest, the police revealed that the suspect, in a dramatic situation, offered N1,000,000 (one million naira only) to induce the DPO, but the latter rejected the offer and carried out his duty diligently.

Bello’s arrest has triggered reactions in the Nigerian online space as many commenters hail the Nigeria Police Force.

Recall that Najeebah Al-Kadriyar, one of the six girls who were kidnapped by terrorists had spoken about the death of her sister, Nabeeha who was killed by their abductors.

Najeebah paid tribute to her late sister on Monday in a post on her X handle.
