‎‎Eid-el-Kabir: Again APC Chairman Yilwatda Urges Support For Tinubu’s Reforms, Felicitates Muslims

‎The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, has congratulated Muslims across Nigeria on the celebration of this year’s Eid-el-Kabir, calling for renewed support for the reform agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

‎In a press statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media and Information Strategy, Abimbola Tooki, Yilwatda described Eid-el-Kabir as a sacred festival that embodies faith, sacrifice, obedience, love and devotion to Almighty Allah.

‎He noted that the festival, which commemorates the willingness of Prophet Ibrahim to submit to the will of God, remains one of the most significant events in Islam, symbolising virtues such as selflessness, unity, compassion, tolerance and total submission.

‎According to him, the spiritual lessons of Eid-el-Kabir are particularly relevant to Nigeria at this critical stage of its development, emphasising that sacrifice, patience, perseverance and a sense of collective responsibility are essential for building a stronger, more united and prosperous nation.

‎The APC chairman urged Nigerians, especially the Muslim Ummah, to continue to promote peaceful coexistence, national unity and harmony across ethnic, religious and political divides. He added that the Sallah celebration should serve to strengthen the bonds of love, understanding and brotherhood among citizens.

‎Yilwatda also called on Nigerians to support the administration of President Tinubu and its ongoing reforms, which he said are aimed at repositioning the country for sustainable economic growth, improved infrastructure, enhanced national security, job creation and long-term prosperity.

‎He acknowledged that the reforms may require patience and shared sacrifice, but stressed that they are necessary steps towards restoring economic stability, strengthening institutions and securing a brighter future for generations yet unborn.

‎Expressing confidence in the leadership of President Tinubu, the APC chairman said Nigeria would emerge stronger, more resilient and economically competitive among the comity of nations.

‎He further appealed to Nigerians to use the Eid-el-Kabir celebration to offer prayers for the peace, unity, security and progress of the country, as well as for wisdom and divine guidance for leaders at all levels.

‎Yilwatda also prayed that Almighty Allah accepts the sacrifices, supplications and acts of worship of the faithful, and grants families peace, joy, good health and abundant blessings during and after the celebration.

‎He wished Muslim faithful across Nigeria and beyond a peaceful, prosperous and memorable Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
