Burna Boy Loses All Four Grammy Nominations

Multiple award-winning artist, Damini Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy, has lost out on all four of his nominations at the 66th Grammy Award ceremony.

Burna Boy’s song ‘Alone’ lost to the trio of Zakir Hussain, Bela Fleck and Edgar Myer’s song ‘Pashto’ which won the Global Music Performance category.

The acclaimed ‘African Giant’ lost the second award of the Best African Music Performance category won by South Africa’s female rapper, Tyla.

Her song ‘Water’ saw off competition from Burna’s ‘City Boys.

Third on the list was the Best Melodic Rap Performance category won by American rappers Lil Durk and J Cole.

Their song titled ‘All My Life’ was rated above ‘Sittin’ On Top of the World’ by Burna Boy and 21 Savage.Losing his fourth nomination on ‘Best Global Music Album’ alongside David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, World fusion band Shakti’s ‘This Moment’, bagged the award.His album, ‘I Told Them’ along with Davido’s ‘Timeless’ album, didn’t get rated enough to win.
