‎AFCON: Super Eagles Suffer Major Blow As Chelle Confirms Knee, Ankle Injuries

‎Super Eagles have suffered a major blow after head coach, Eric Chelle, disclosed that first-choice goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali has both knee and ankle injuries.

‎Chelle spoke to the media ahead of Nigeria’s 2025 AFCON final group stage fixture against Uganda on Tuesday.

‎The Malian, however, said he will decide which goalkeeper will be in goal for the Super Eagles against Uganda after his side’s final training session later on Monday.

‎“He [Nwabali] has a little pain in his knee and has problems with his ankle,” Chelle said.

‎“We have a final training before the match, and then I will decide.

‎“We will manage for the team.”

‎Chelle’s men currently top Group C with six points and are through to the last-16 stage after beating Tunisia at the weekend.
