Nigerians especially Christians have been urged to be diligent in whatever duties/assignments committed to their hands as this would make them to be good examples to others in their working place.
Rev Bright Enado gave this charge in a sermon at St Barnabas Anglican Church, Byazhin, Kubwa, Abuja.
Rev Enado, a Lawyer titled the sermon, “Rest and Renewal: Balancing work, rest and service to God and humanity”, emphasis the importance of sleeping to the wellness of human body system.
The sermon though endorsed sleeping and even support the sleeping time and duration as enunciated by medical experts, he however stressed that such sleeping must not hinder one’s services to God and humanity.
Barr Enado told the congregation that when you sleep well, it makes your brain and heart function perfectly, boosting your immune system.
He however condemned a development when one allows sleeping to affect his/her duty or functions in the church or Community.
The cleric also frowned at how some Christians attended Church activities late or never show up at all.
Quoting from the Holy Bible in 1st Thessalonians Chapter 4, John chapter 9 and Ecclesiastes chapter 5, Rev Bright Enado, reminded all that inspite of the importance of sleeping, it must not affect our relationship and services to God as we were made to serve God and humanity as a way of showing appreciation to our creator.
The preacher also likened sleeping to earthly toiling or labouring to acquire wealth that last and useful on this planet Earth saying serving God helps one to enjoy favour of God and that of humanity and assist you in making heaven at the end of your soujourn here on earth.
He concluded as he reminded all that “we come to the world without anything and we will return with nothing” rather one would be remembered for his/her services while on earth.
