Report reaching DECENCY GLOBAL NEWS desk indicated that another popular Nigerian gospel artist, Evangelist Toun Soetan, is dead.

This is coming about a week after the death of Taiwo, one of the twins of the Adegbodu brothers, was announced.

According to information available to DECENCY GLOBAL NEWS, she died on Friday following a long battle with illness.

Evangelist Soetan would have been 73 years old on June 18, 2026.

She celebrated her 70th birthday at Orita-Mefa Baptist Church in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital on June 18, 2024 with seven hours praise.
Some of her popular songs include: Darling Jesus and On The Mountain.

In January, DECENCY GLOBAL NEWS reported that popular Gospel Singer, Olubunmi Akinnaanu Adeoye, popularly known as Omije Ojumi, passed away at a hospital in Lagos after an illness. She was 46 years old.

Born Olubunmi Akinnaanu Adeoye, Omije Ojumi built a strong reputation as a gospel singer and minister who used music as a tool for evangelism.

Her songs often centred on faith, hope, endurance and total dependence on God, themes that resonated deeply with her listeners.
