The chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Oyo State Chapter, Barrister Ajiboye Omodewu, is dead.
He was aged 61 years.
The wife, Mrs Omotayo Omodewu was weeping uncontrollably when contacted by our Correspondent to confirm this story.
DECENCY GLOBAL NEWS reports that Omodewu, an astute politician, a former governorship aspirant in the state gave up the ghost in the US.
Omodewu is the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters as well as Land, Housing and Survey in Oyo state.
Omodewu, an Otu, Itesiwaju local government-born chairman of the main opposition party in the state, died about a year after undergoing treatment for an undisclosed ailment.
The former Commissioner under the administration of the late former Governor Abiola Ajimobi held dual citizenship of Nigeria and that of the United States.
He was one of the closest politicians to late Oyo State Governor , Senator Abiola Ajimobi.
