The National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools, (NAPPS), Ekiti State Chapter, has elected a new executive to pilot its affairs for the next four years.
Addressing the gathering, NAPPS National President, Dr. Yomi Otubela, noted that the election came as a result of the need to have a committed and dedicated executive council leading the state.
He urged the new leadership not to engage in acts that are against the association’s 2023 constitution.
Also speaking, the association’s South West President, Prince Adesanya Oduala, appealed to members to be united.
On his part, the chairman of the electoral committee, Mr. Adewale Adebayo, noted that the poll was free, fair, and credible, urging the new executive members not to jeopardize the confidence reposed in them.
Dissolving the current executive council led by Pastor Durojaye Samson, NAPPS South West Vice President, Professor Durodola Olujide, noted that it was based on multiple offenses, including insubordination, absence from important meetings, failure to respond to correspondence, and conducting NAPPS unified examinations at the state level, which violated the National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools constitution.
In his acceptance speech, the new State Chairman, Chief Olajuyigbe Olabanji, promised to be transparent, accountable, and prioritize the welfare of members.
