Former Bayelsa State Governor and ex-Minister of State for Petroleum, Timipre Sylva, has reportedly been arrested by state security operatives over allegations of involvement in a coup plot against President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.

An anonymous source from the Presidency revealed to DECENCY GLOBAL NEWS that Sylva, who was allegedly on the run, was captured following an intensive security operation.
However, our coorrespondent has not independently verified the arrest, as efforts to obtain confirmation from relevant authorities have so far been unsuccessful.
DECENCY GLOBAL NEWS reports last week that Sylva denied any involvement in the botched coup attempt in a statement by his spokesman.
