‎Bayelsa State Governor, Senator Douye Diri, has reportedly resigned from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and joined the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

‎According to reports by Arise Television, Diri defected alongside 23 members of the Bayelsa State House of Assembly.

‎The development comes less than 24 hours after Enugu State Governor, Peter Mbah, also left the PDP for the APC.

‎While official confirmation from the governor or his media team is still awaited, sources suggest that a formal declaration of the move may take place in the coming days.

‎“The governor joined the ruling APC alongside 23 members of the Bayelsa State House of Assembly,” Arise TV reported.
