BREAKING: Six Nigerian Soldiers Killed In Auto Crash While On Distress Call To Fight Boko Haram

Six Nigerian soldiers, who were part of the major theatre operation against Boko Haram insurgents known as Operation Hadin Kai, lost their lives in a car accident in Bama, Borno State.

The soldiers were said to be responding to a distress call on Wednesday evening when the gun truck conveying them skidded off the road and rammed into a road shoulder, causing the vehicle to somersault multiple times.

While seven personnel were in the vehicle, six of them were confirmed dead.

“The vehicle which we called buffalo was driven by CPL Tairu. There was a Boko Haram attack, so they called them for reinforcement. On their way, they were called to turn back as they were facing another route, as he was about turning back, the vehicle skidded off. It happened here in Bama.

“Out of seven personnel, six of them died. Four died at the spot while two died later in the hospital.”
