‎BREAKING‎: Terrorists Raid Catholic School In Niger, Abduct Students, Staff

‎Suspected terrorists have kidnapped students and staff from St. Mary’s School in Papiri community, Agwara Local Government Area of Niger State. The total number of those abducted remains unknown.

‎A source confirmed the attack to Daily Trust on Friday, saying the school is still compiling its records.

‎“Yes, it is true, but I am not in a position to give details. The church will issue an official statement later in the day,” the source said.

‎Attempts to reach the Niger State Police Command were unsuccessful at the time of filing this report.

‎The spokesperson of the command, SP Wasiu Abiodun, could not take his call when contacted.

‎The attack adds to a recent surge of abductions in northern Nigeria, coming just days after terrorists struck a government school in Kebbi State, kidnapping at least 25 students.

‎Authorities are yet to release an official statement on rescue operations or the current status of the victims.
