‎Bye-election: Ibadan North Federal Constituency – Chief (Mrs) Odususi Olajumoke Olabisi; More Than Just A Candidate

‎As the political atmosphere in the Ibadan North heats up ahead of the much anticipated Bye-election; a new voice of hope is gaining momentum, she is Hon. (Chief) Odususi Olajumoke Olabisi, popularly known as Ọba’binrin of the All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA.

She represents something deeper than ambition, a symbol of hope, trust, legacy and inclusive leadership.

She is often described as a woman who acts before she speaks and who speaks only when necessary.

‎She is a leader who listens, understands and delivers. She is promising to champion real development.

She has also laid out a detailed plan for youth empowerment, targeting vocational skills and entrepreneurship training.

A strong advocate of open door leadership, Chief (Mrs) Odususi has pledged to institute a transparent government where Constituents can directly interact with her, provide feedback and monitor the progress of IBADAN NORTH FEDERAL CONSTITUENCY when elected.

‎Soon enough, The Constituents of Ibadan North will decide not just on new representatives but on a new direction and Ọba’binrin is okay for Ibadan North. Ọba’binrin is not just contesting an election, she is carrying the hopes of Ibadan North Federal Constituency ready to rise again.

‎Hon. (Chief) Odususi Olajumoke Olabisi behaviour is genetic as his late father was always at the forefront of defending People’s cause.

‎Oajumoke’s late father, Chief  Emmanuel Oladeebo Oyerinde was the national president of Nigeria union of Teacher after Dr J O Itotoh. He was the first trained and groomed teacher to hold that position. NUT was an affiliate of Nigerian Labour Congress in Nigeria.

‎The Late Chief Emmanuel Oladeebo Oyerinde was amongst the trade unionist that fought for the welfare of the Nigerian workers when he, amongst other unionists, fought the then military regime for provision of car and housing loans and other entitlements for Nigerian workers.

‎He was the first ‘Baale’ of native liquor sellers in Ibadanland. He attained this feat in 1991 when he was blessed with the title by the then ‘Olubadan of Ibadanland’

‎Long before his installation as the ‘Baale’, the seller and manufacturers of the liquor had always been subjected to intimidation by the police and authorities of the land.

‎When Late Chief Emmanuel Oladeebo Oyerinde took the leadership, he challenged the state and its apparatus through legal means available to him and the association to a public debate, at the house of chiefs secretariat, Ibadan, and he was able to swing and sway the public opinion towards the recognition of the manufacturers and sellers of the liquor by the state government. That is what has sustained the various sellers of the association till now. This singular act has led to the empowerment of a lot of women and discovering the usefulness of our indigenous treatment of various ailments through our herbs and our locally manufactured liquor.

‎Till Olajumoke parents breathe their last breath, they were always in the forefront of women empowerment education for all, irrespective of age, colour, ethnic background, good health, well secured environment and above all, good governance and unparalleled representation of the downtrodden.
