The Director of Information and Communication, FCT, Muhammad Hazat Sule, has described the death of Hajiya, Rafat Salami, as a great loss to the Journalism Profession.

Sule, in a condolence massage to Nigerian Union of Journalist (NUJ), FCT Council , said he received the news of Rafat’s passing with a rude shock.

The Director said he is deeply saddened by the sudden demise of Rafat Salami, whom he described as hardworking, social and a dedicated professional journalist.

He stated that Rafat was also committed to the well-being of her colleagues as exemplified in her constant engagement in all union activities geared toward improvement of the working condition of media practitioners.

Sule, prayed for repose of Rafat’s soul.

Hajiya Rafat Salami, till her death was an Assistant Director in the Voice of Nigeria (VON), Executive member of the International Press Institute (IPI), Nigeria Chapter and former Secretary, NUJ FCT.
