Multichoice has announced a price increase for its DStv and GOtv packages, set to take effect from March 1, 2025.
In a statement issued to customers on Monday, the company explained that the adjustment is necessary to sustain the delivery of high-quality local and international content through advanced technology.
This marks the second price review in less than a year. Under the new pricing structure, the DStv Compact package will rise from N15,700 to N19,000, while the Compact Plus will increase to N30,000.
The Premium subscription is set to cost N44,500.
GOtv subscribers will also experience an increase, with the basic package moving from N3,600 to N3,900.
The GOtv Plus package will go up from N4,850 to N5,800, while the GOtv Max package will now cost N8,500. Meanwhile, the Supa and Supa Plus packages will be priced at N11,400 and N16,800, respectively.
Multichoice attributed the price hike to rising operational costs in Nigeria, citing currency depreciation and inflation as key factors impacting its business expenses.
