The authorities of the Nigerian Police Force at the Force Headquarters are embarrassed and have summoned the Divisional Police Officer of Gwarinpa station in Abuja, Babale Hamza Galadima, and other officers involved in the midnight invasion of Hotel VIMA in the area.
DECENCY GLOBAL NEWS had reported that during the illegal operation, the police officers destroyed some properties and all occupants in the hotel.
We had obtained videos of the destruction left by the policemen during the incident which occurred on Sunday night at about 11:30pm.
The pictures and Close Circuit TV videos on Monday showed doors and room furniture destroyed by the policemen during the invasion.
The FCT Police Command PPRO, Josephine Adeh had in a post on X, earlier mentioned that proper investigation had started on the matter.
Our Correspondent further gathered that the DPO involved in the illegal operation was at the Force Headquarters on Tuesday morning for probe.
“In fact, FHQ invited the DPO to bring them (the victims and the policemen) over the embarrassing incident. They are there already but the victims released are in their various homes now,” a source privy to the situation told SaharaReporters.
“Others are still with the police at FHQ because top police officers are investigating the DPO now,” the source added.
The source also mentioned that the DPO and his team had extorted money from those they arrested unlawfully during the raid.
