‎‎Egypt Beat Nigeria As Super Eagles Bow 2-1 In Pre-AFCON Friendly

‎Nigeria’s Super Eagles fell 2-1 to the Pharaohs of Egypt  in a friendly at the Cairo International Stadium on Tuesday night.

‎Mahmoud Saber, and Mostafa Mohammed were on target for Egypt, while  defender Chidozie Awaziem scored for Chelsea.

‎Super Eagles head coach, Eric Chelle started with a number of fringe players.

‎Egypt made their early dominance count with Sober slotting home from inside the box in the 28th minute.

‎Awaziem restored parity for Nigeria from  Zaidu Sanusi’s free-kick late in the first half.

‎The two teams made a number of changes after the break.

‎It was Egypt that netted  the winning goal through Mohammed in the 52nd minute.

‎The Super Eagles will now travel to Fez, Morocco for the Africa Cup of Nations on Thursday.

‎They face the Taifa Stars of Tanzania in their opening fixture next week Tuesday.
