ELECTION: New Leadership Emerges In NAPPS Lagos State

The crisis engulfing the National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools (NAPPS) in Lagos State has reached the climax as concerned members and stakeholders in Lagos State chapter of NAPPS have suspended High Chief Alaka Yusuf, the state president of the National Association of Private Schools Proprietors in Lagos State (NAPPS), due to alleged financial mismanagement, unruly behavior, harassment of local government chairpersons, and insubordination to national authority.

DECENCY GLOBAL NEWS gathered that following the suspension, a peaceful protest was conducted, demanding immediate elections of a new Lagos State executive committee.

The Southwest officers conducted the elections, resulting in the emergence of new leaders to pilot the affairs of the state.

The following officers were elected as the new executive of the body in Lagos State.

  1. Dr. Bodunde Samuel as President
  2. Chief Mrs. Yetunde Balogun as Vice President
  3. Mr. Yusuf A. Ibrahim as Secretary
  4. Mr. Adebisi as Financial Secretary
    5.Mr. Olawale Cardozo as Treasurer

This development was witnessed by the NAPPS National President, Chief Dr. Yomi Otubela, and national secretary.

In a goodwill message, Otunba Safiriyu Idowu Ganiyu, representing the Board of Trustees (BOT), emphasized NAPPS Nigeria’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and loyalty.

The new executive of NAPPS in Lagos State ate to ensure the following Call to Action, for the sustainable progress and development of the Association.

To all Local Chapters in Lagos State:

  • Adhere to the organization’s rules and regulations, as mandated by the CAC-approved NAPPS 2023 Constitution.
  • Prioritize transparency, accountability, and loyalty to NAPPS, ensuring the continued growth and success of the organization.
  • Recognize and respect only CAC-recognized incorporated trustees, upholding the legitimacy of the organization’s governance structure.

This significant shift in leadership underscores the importance of transparency, accountability, and loyalty within the organization. As NAPPS Nigeria moves forward, it is crucial for all stakeholders to work together, prioritizing the growth and success of the organization.
