In an unexpected turn of events, Chioma Rowland’s parents will not be attending her highly anticipated white wedding to music star, Davido, set to hold this Saturday in Miami, Florida, DECENCY GLOBAL NEWS reports.
Sources close to the family revealed that Chioma’s father, who was meant to walk her down the aisle, and her mother, who played a major role in caring for the couple’s twins, are currently unable to enter the United States. Their U.S. visas were reportedly revoked after they allegedly overstayed the terms of their five-year visitor visas.
After the traditional wedding between Davido and Chioma in 2024, Chioma returned to the U.S. with her parents and sister.
The couple’s twins were also in the U.S. at the time. However, her parents remained in the country for over a year a move that violated the visa agreement.
“It’s really unfortunate because they were clearly told the terms of the visa,” a source said.
“I don’t think they meant to overstay, but it has now affected their ability to attend such an important day in their daughter’s life.”
