DECENCY GLOBAL NEWS can exclusively report that Victor Osimhen has told his fellow Super Eagles stars they should win the AFCON title within regulation time so as to leave nothing to chance against host country Cote d’Ivoire.
A top official told DECENCY GLOBAL NEWS that Osimhen wants the Super Eagles to be like a boxer who knocks out his opponent rather than bank on the points awarded to him by the judges.
“Osimhen is fired up for this AFCON Final,” an official told DECENCY GLOBAL NEWS
“He has been asking his fellow players they should finish the business in 90 minutes and not allow for the match against the host country to go into extra time and even possibly the lottery of a penalty shootout.
“Also, the players are tired, mentally and physically drained, after cramming six tough games into four weeks.
“Their bodies have taken a serious beating and so the best thing would be to end the game as quickly as possible and not have to be further stretched physically and mentally by going into extra time and even penalties.”
The Super Eagles were dragged into the lottery of a penalty shootout by Bafana Bafana to qualify for tomorrow’s championship game.
