EXPOSED: President Tinubu’s CoS, Femi Gbajabiamila Budgets N15m For 2 Photocopiers, N20m For Scanners, N285m For Vehicles

The office of the Chief of Staff to President Bola Tinubu has earmarked N285 million to purchase vehicles and another N293 million to cater for honorarium in one year.

A review of the 2025 proposed budget has shown these proposed spendings.

Understandably, the chief of staff’s office is occupied by Femi Gbajabiamila, a former Speaker of the House of Representatives.

An honorarium is a payment or reward given to someone for their services, expertise, or participation in an event, typically when they are not entitled to a standard fee or salary. It’s often a token of appreciation for their time, effort, or contribution.

Other details on the budget document show that the office of the chief of staff plans to spend N121.6 million on an archiving system. The purchase of shredding machines is expected to cost N4 million, while the purchase of two photocopiers will cost the government N15 million.

Annual renewal/upgrade of computer license software was estimated at N45 million, while the purchase of servicing IT equipment will cost N23 million.

A sum of N20 million was budgeted for four scanners and four desktop computers for the chief of staff registry.

Office stationeries and computer consumables are expected to cost N8.1 million, maintenance of office/IT equipment is expected to cost N40.6 million, local training is expected to gulp N312 million, and international training, N319 million.

On Wednesday, President Tinubu presented N47.9 trillion 2025 budget proposal to members of the National Assembly for consideration and approval.
