‎‎Fire Power: Three Suspected Kidnappers Killed In Oyo

Three suspected kidnappers were, on Monday, feared killed during a gun duel with security operatives in Oyo State, DECENCY GLOBAL NEWS, reports.

‎Investigations by our correspondent revealed that the incident occurred in Otu, the headquarters of the Itesiwaju Local Government Area of the state in midnight.

‎DECENCY GLOBAL NEWS reliably gathered on Wednesday that a group of suspected bandits reportedly invaded the community in a midnight attack.

‎It was further learnt that the suspects abducted one resident leading to panic and apprehension among the locals.

‎Eyewitnesses told our correspondent the intruders were spotted by local farmers who noticed suspicious movements within the area.

‎A source said, “The farmers quickly raised the alarm, prompting swift action from members of the state security agency.

‎“Security operatives responded promptly and engaged the armed kidnappers in a gun duel.

‎“During the confrontation, three of the suspected kidnappers were reportedly gunned down, while one managed to escape with the abducted victim,” the source said.

‎Another source who pleaded anonymity because he was not permitted to speak with the media also said, “Efforts are ongoing to track down the fleeing assailant and rescue the kidnapped individual.

‎“The matter has since been formally reported to the Police Division in Otu for further investigation and coordinated response,” one of the eyewitnesses stated.

‎As of press time, the state Police Public Relations Officer, Adewale Osifeso, could not be reached for a comment. He did not pick up his calls nor respond to a message sent to him as of the time of filing this report.
