A combined team of policemen, soldiers and vigilance members have rescued 20 of the 41 passengers kidnapped from four Toyota Hiace buses in Edo State.
The travellers were abducted on March 18 on the Lampese-Ogorimagongo Road in Akoko-Edo Local Government Area.
Police spokesperson Chidi Nwabuzor, who confirmed the incident last night, said the passengers were rescued through vigorous bush combing.
Nwabuzor added that efforts were on to rescue the other passengers.
