IN-FIGHTING: ISWAP Executes 69 Boko Haram Members, Civilian Prisoners After Five Months In Captivity

The Islamic State of the West African Province (ISWAP) has executed 69 prisoners, including both Boko Haram members and civilians, who had been held captive for five months in Marte Local Government Area of Borno State.

Impeccable sources told Zagazola Makama, that the execution took place after the prisoners were found guilty of various offenses. The killings reportedly came as a reaction to ISWAP’s recent defeats at the hands of Boko Haram fighters.

It was learnt that hundreds of captives, both fighters and civilians, are currently being held by ISWAP at several detention centers, including Arinna Maimasallaci, Jibularam, and Sabon Tumbum in Marte LGA.

These captives are awaiting various forms of punishment, reflecting the ongoing conflict and brutal tactics employed by these terrorist factions in the Lake Chad region.

The executions have further underscored the intense rivalry between ISWAP and Boko Haram faction.
