JUST IN: Kidnappers Demand N250m Ransom For Ex-NYSC DG Tsiga

Kidnappers of retired General Maharazu Tsiga, former Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) have demanded a N250 million ransom for his release.

A family member revealed that the kidnappers made contact last night to request the ransom.

The incident occurred on Wednesday in Tsiga village, Kankara Local Government Area of Katsina State.

The gunmen, armed with sophisticated weapons, invaded Tsiga’s residence, wounding two residents and accidentally killing one of their own in the process.

The Katsina Police Command confirmed the abduction and assured the public that security agencies are actively working to rescue Tsiga.

Police spokesperson Abubakar Sadiq stated that operatives responded swiftly but arrived after the attackers had fled with their hostages.

He added that the command has intensified its efforts, collaborating with stakeholders and security agencies, and recently arrested 45 suspects for various crimes across the state.

Authorities are urging residents to remain vigilant as efforts to apprehend the culprits and secure Tsiga’s safe release continue.
