The Federal Government has dismissed viral report (not by DECENCY GLOBAL NEWS) claiming the Ministry of Petroleum ordered NNPCL to sell fuel at N1000, above the approved pump price.
A statement signed by Minister Heineken Lokpobiri’s aide, Nnemaka Okafor, described the reports as “concocted and ill-conceived” to sow discord and confusion.
Nnemaka stated:
“‘There was never a time FG interfered with petroleum pricing with NNPCL, let alone give directives for price increment.”
The government categorically condemned the claims as “baseless, malicious, and a deliberate attempt to incite public discontent.”
