A 65-year-old man, Olalekan Ogunjobi, has been arrested by the Ogun State Police Command following the death of a woman at his residence in the Ago-Iwoye area of Ogun State.

The deceased, identified as 60-year-old Serifatu Disu, reportedly left her husband’s home to visit Ogunjobi at his apartment in Fatimoh Castle, Konigba.

Although the exact nature of their relationship remains unclear, the police confirmed the incident occurred around 12:40 a.m. on Wednesday.

According to the command, Disu complained of chest pain and collapsed shortly after stepping outside the room.

Ogunjobi reportedly attempted to revive her, but Disu eventually lost consciousness and passed away.

The spokesperson for the Ogun State Police Command, Chief Superintendent of Police Omolola Odutola, said the Divisional Police Officer of Ago-Iwoye was immediately alerted and arrived at the scene.
