As Ayomide Blessing Ojo Weds Joshua Oluwasemilore Taiwo In Ayedun Ekiti
Christian couples have been urged to always think of eternity while living as husbands and wives here on earth noting that earthy marriage should be upheld in love in other to make heaven at last.
Rt Revd Dr Rufus Olanrewaju Babalola, the Methodist Bishop, Diocese of Omuo Ekiti in the Archdiocese of Ifaki, gave the charge in a sermon titled: “Seven Commandments in Marriage,” during the wedding service of Ayomide Blessing Ojo and Joshua Oluwasemilore Taiwo at Sir Remi Omotoso Memorial Methodist Cathedral of His Glory, Odo Ayedun Ekiti in Ekiti State.
He counselled Christian couples on the need to prepare for the “marriage of the the bride” which is the symbolic union between Jesus Christ and the Church, with Christ as the bridegroom and the Church as the bride.

Bishop Rufus Babalola while counselling Mr & Mrs Taiwo and other Christian couples itemised what he called the seven commandments in marriage which included No beating of one spouse (No to domestic violence); I shall not discuss any ills of my parent with my spouse; I shall never insult my spouse in the public; I will never discuss the weakness of my spouse with anybody; No negative message; I shall not keep malice with my spouse, I shall always communicate with my spouse and no denial of conjugal rights, stressing that it is a sin to say No to one another for sexual intercourse.

Bishop Babalola also counselled the couple to always be fond of themselves.

The Bishop, Diocese of Ayedun, Rt Revd (Dr) Titus Ilori Omoniyi, had earlier joined the new couple together with blessings of long-live and prosperity.
The family of Elder Chief Rufus Ayodele Ojo had hosted their in-laws from Kabba, Kogi State in a traditional marriage.
